This is our Creamy Carbonara recipe, one of our more sophisticated dishes that you can prepare at home. It has a little fiber and plenty of protein.
There are several theories about the origin of this dish. One theory goes back to the early 1940s. Carbonara was given to American soldiers in World War two by the Italians as an appreciation for helping them out. Another theory was found on Reddit stating a recipe was documented around 1494 with the same base ingredients and a staple for the Romans around that time before it was rediscovered. It’s traditionally made with cured meat, hard cheese, eggs, a lot of fresh ground pepper, and finally dried durum wheat to make the pasta. For our recipe, we added some other nice ingredients like spinach, parsley, garlic, and bacon to make our own version of this pasta. We hope you enjoy our Creamy Carbonara recipe.
